Clearstone FTO: Rebuilt for What's Next

We've been listening. Over the years, our clients have shared what they love about Clearstone FTO and, more importantly, where it could do better. Today, we're excited to announce that a significantly overhauled user interface for Clearstone FTO is on its way, and you're going to notice the difference immediately.
We'll be rolling it out in waves beginning in late March, and what's coming extends well beyond the interface.
Built on What Works, Improved Where It Matters
This isn't a ground-up rebuild. Clearstone FTO is a mature platform, and our existing users know their way around it. Our goal with this release was to preserve that familiarity while smoothing out the friction points that slow down day-to-day work.
The result is an experience that feels both fresh and instantly comfortable.
What's Changing
A refreshed design, inside and out. The updated interface brings a cleaner, more consistent look and feel across the platform. Navigation is more intuitive, visual hierarchy is clearer, and the overall experience is simply more polished without losing the functionality our users depend on.
Faster review history. One of the most meaningful improvements in this release is a significant performance boost to the review history function. For teams working across large patent portfolios, this alone will save meaningful time.
Streamlined project and review creation. The wizards for creating projects, products, and reviews have been redesigned from the ground up. Getting started is now faster, with fewer steps and clearer guidance at each stage — whether you're a first-time user or setting up your hundredth review.
More control over how you view your data. Summary pages and the patent review interface now support adjustable, customizable columns. You can select which fields to display and drag columns to rearrange them so your workspace reflects how you actually work, not a one-size-fits-all default.
Popup windows that get out of your way. A small but appreciated change: popup windows can now be moved, so you always have a clear view of the underlying display while working through details.
A Stronger Foundation
The front-end overhaul is built on a modernized architecture that brings meaningful improvements under the hood as well. Security has been enhanced throughout the platform, and the updated foundation puts us in a much better position to ship new capabilities faster and more reliably going forward.
That matters, because what's coming next is significant.
What's on the Horizon
We've been doing more than redesigning screens. We've been rethinking what FTO analysis can look like when AI is applied thoughtfully and rigorously to the problem.
We're not ready to share the full picture yet, but we will say this: the AI capabilities we're developing for Clearstone FTO stand to fundamentally change how FTO is done. This is not a convenience feature, but as a substantive shift in what's possible. We'll have more to say soon.
For Existing Users
We've been deliberate about maintaining continuity. The core workflows you rely on are intact, and the learning curve for the new interface should be minimal. Our aim was to make Clearstone FTO feel like a better version of itself, not something new to relearn.
Rolling Out Starting Late March
The rollout begins in soon and will be delivered in waves. If you have questions or want to know more about what's coming, reach out to us at info@clearstoneip.com.
We're proud of where Clearstone FTO is headed, and we look forward to putting these improvements in your hands.
